Hello, I am the grandmother of my two beautiful grandchildren, Rut (12) and Vichika (11), who both attend the TASSEL school. Their parents had to move to another province to find work when they were very young. However, the money that they work for never reaches us and they are rarely able to visit. I am sure the parents love their children but they, themselves, are too poor to send money. Rut is especially fond of his parents and sleeps in their bed when they come visit once a year.

Although we are struggling to eat, I do not allow my grandchildren to work because I want them to keep learning at TASSEL. I support my family by selling vegetables at a market. I wish I could do more for them, but I can only earn so much because I am old and did not go to school.
